About Us
Very
rarely is an educated
judgment made about an organization without knowing a little
of its history
so that's where we'll begin.
A
not-for-profit organization, Family Renaissance,
INC., has its roots in a Rites-of-passage program, developed by
John
McQueen
at Brooklyn Faith S.D.A. Church in 1981. By 1993, its not-for-profit
501(C)(3) status was attained and a formal Board of Directors was established.
Among other things, we assist
families in making positive decisions on the economic, social
and other critical issues that impact them most.
Many of those with whom we work lead
really difficult lives with children in particular, unable to cope with the inconsistencies
and confusion of every day life at home.
We want to continue making a
difference in their lives so they can look forward to a brighter future and with your support
we can.
