IT'S NOT ENOUGH TO REMEMBER THE UNFORTUNATE IN THOUGHT  ALONE!!

Every twelve seconds here in the United States, one or more women are battered—at home.  Thousands of children also suffer in silence with either no one to tell their story to while many choose not to, often for fear of their own lives. 

In the last 14 years hundreds have turned to us for help when their troubled marriages were about to end in divorce; when their children became psychologically damaged through conflict, and abuse. 

When Nigel (not his real name) and his Mom visited our Center for the first time you could see the sparkle in his eyes when told that he was about to see his dad that day. Nigel was only seven and hadn’t seen his dad in over a year. 

His parents were divorced two years earlier after bitter fighting and Nigel was forced to live with his mom while his dad just visited him on weekends. Nearly a year later his mother told his dad he wasn’t welcome anymore.  She subsequently remarried someone else and Nigel found himself with a stepfather and a new last name. Unfortunately, the cycle of violence continued.

But they're not alone. The surge in Domestic Violence has in fact, reached epidemic proportion thus the number of people seeking counseling at our center (an invaluable resource to the community, and elsewhere) has increased 40% in the last six months alone. 

Up until now, we've been able to respond to hundreds of requests for help, without fail. But we've reached the limits of our financial budget.

Here's where generous people like you are mobilizing to help us so we can continue to provide resources that'll enable us to deliver core, even lifesaving services, aimed at making a real difference to troubled families and the  stability of family life overall.
